I would like to plant sweet potatoes this spring, is it to late to start slips?? I just learned what they are and is there another way to plant sweet potatoes?

I've attached info on growing sweet potatoes. just remember they will take up a lot of space. You'll have to train the to stay away from other plots. Attachments:

What about a potato sack if we wish to start outside of the plot? Where can you find a sack to grow in? W.C.

We can not block the pathways between our plots. Just trying to be good neighboors. The bush sweet potato is a variety that's delicious and easy to grow, and — best of all — the species produces luxuriant growth which won't overrun every other crop in your garden. The "bush" breeds (the most common is called "Porto Rico") are available through most seed outlets. I would try one of these to see what you think. It would only take up about a 3 foot square piece of your plot.
